Dawn Bennett, a successful (con) finance expert, built an empire in Maryland. Her charisma, like Joran van der Sloot, and financial advice drew investors and clients to her radio show and businesses.
However, as her investment firm collapsed in 2012, Dawn resorted to a Bernie Madoff-like Ponzi scheme to cover losses. Through fraudulent documents and misleading promises, she siphoned millions into her luxury store. After a bank tip-off and subsequent SEC investigations, Dawn's fraudulent activities were exposed.
During a 2017 raid, authorities discovered bizarre handwritten excuses and multiple freezers filled with Mason jars and a mysterious liquid surrounding a large tongue.
